Legacy College's Approach to Student Education and Development
Academic Equipping
In partnership with Northwest University (NWU), we offer fully accredited and recognized degrees. Classes are facilitated online through NWU. Degree offerings listed HERE.
Spiritual Discipleship
In addition to online classes, students attend in-person immersive training sessions which focus on following Jesus and uncovering God’s calling on their life.
Leadership Development
Students are awarded an internship at Legacy designed to give them real-life experience, develop skills, and cultivate their ability to lead. Students enrolled in classes through NWU can receive credits from NWU for their internship engagement at no extra cost.
Purposeful Release*
As students complete the program, they are commissioned and released into God's calling on their lives. Whether that leads to ministry, the marketplace, or further education, Legacy College sends leaders out to walk faithfully in whatever God has next for them.

Who is Legacy College for?
Legacy College is for young adults and working professionals who sense a call to grow as leaders — whether that's within full-time ministry or in whatever field God has placed them in. Across our three tracks (Experience, Flex, and Residency), Legacy College exists to help people discover they are made for more.
I'm not planning to go into Church ministry, is Legacy College for me?
Yes. While Legacy College can include hands-on ministry internship experience, the leadership development, spiritual discipleship, and academic equipping pillars are built to shape leaders for any calling — not just vocational ministry.
What Is Legacy College?
Legacy College is Legacy Church's leadership training program, partnering with Northwest University (NWU) to offer college credit alongside hands-on ministry internship experience. The program is built around four pillars: academic equipping, spiritual discipleship, leadership development, and purposeful release.
What Are The Different Tracks at Legacy College
Legacy Leadership College offers three tracks depending on where you're at in life and what you're looking for:
Experience — A full-time track for ages 18–29, combining a ministry internship with NWU coursework for college credit. Sunday church attendance is required.
Flex — Designed for working professionals. Students take NWU classes (with an optional internship) on their own schooling schedule.
Residency — A full-time track that includes internship and required coursework, but does not carry college credit. Sunday church attendance is required.

What Are The Requirements To Attend Legacy College?
Legacy College is open to applicants with a high school diploma or equivalent. Students enrolled are commited to maintaining high standards of excellence and responsibility.
What Does A Typical Week For A Student Look Like?
This varies by track. Experience and Residency students commit to internship hours across one of five ministry areas — Worship, Production, Youth, Kids, or Outreach/Missions — plus shared commitments like Team Prayer and a Ministry Lead 1-1, along with coursework. Flex students follow their own school schedule with NWU classes and an optional internship.
What Does The Application Process Look Like?
Our admissions page outlines the application process. Each student must begin by filling out the free Legacy College Application. A staff member will then reach out to the student and schedule an interview. If the student is accepted into the Legacy College program, they will then fill out a separate application to enroll in SEU classes.
Can I Earn A College Degree?
Yes! Legacy College partners with Northwest University to offer students the opportunity to earn a fully accredited, recognized college degree. See available degree programs here.
Northwest University is regionally accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), which allows it to award degrees. Legacy College itself is not an accredited institution, and NWU's accreditation does not extend to Legacy Church or its students directly — students must be formally admitted to NWU and enrolled in NWU coursework to receive the benefits of that accreditation. This applies to students in our Experience and Flex tracks.

Can I Participate In LLC If I Don't Want To Take Classes From NWU?
Yes — the Residency track includes internship and required coursework without NWU credit, for students who want the full LLC experience without pursuing a degree. We realize some students already have a degree, or are taking courses at another school, or are in a gap year, or just don’t want to take college courses. For these students, there will be a modest charge to help cover their site expenses.
Can I Transfer In Previous College Credit? Will Credit From This Program Transfer To Other Schools?
Yes! Each school varies, but most general classes and some others will transfer in or out of NWU to other institutions. Students will work with the registrar of each school to determine exact transfers.
Is Financial Aid Available?
Yes, for students enrolled in the tracks with NWU coursework (Experience and Flex). Students will need to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid at fafsa.ed.gov using Northwest University's school code, 003783.

Is This Only For Individuals Looking To Pursue Vocational Ministry?
No! Legacy College is for anyone looking to grow as a disciple of Jesus, develop as a leader, and do so within a close community — whether or not you're pursuing vocational ministry. For students in the Experience and Flex tracks, that growth also comes alongside a college education. It's a holistic program designed to produce capable, educated leaders who are ready to contribute wherever God leads them — in ministry or any other field.

Are The Classes Taught Online Or In Person?
The Northwest University classes are online.
However, Legacy College meets for in-person training classes on spiritual formation in the way of Jesus and growing as a leader, both of self and others.

Can I Work A Job While Attending Legacy College?
Yes! Students are able to work a part-time job as long as the schedule does not interfere with the Northwest Leadership College schedule. Students are expected to make Northwest Leadership College classes and activities their first priority.

Experience and Residency students should weigh their internship hour commitments ( 20 hrs/week respectively) plus coursework against outside work.
