We are not personality driven, but exist to make Jesus famous through Legacy church. We seek to reflect His presence, advance His purposes, and elevate His glory through our lives.
Everything comes from Him and exists by His power and is intended for His glory. All glory to Him forever!
- Romans 11:36
2. Every person is valuable
When we honor people, we honor God. Therefore, we will lay down our lives for the lonely, the least, the longing, and the lost.
Jesus said, “Just as you do to the least of my brothers, you’ve done to me.”
- Matthew 25:40
We will do anything short of sin to introduce people to Christ. To reach people no one’s reaching we have to do things no one’s doing.
I do everything to spread the Good News and share in its blessings.
- 1 Corinthians 9:22b-23
4. We serve our community
We express Christ’s message for our city by leveraging our lives, skills and, resources to meet our community’s needs in tangible, practical ways.
All the believers were united in heart and mind. And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had.
- Acts 4:32-35
5. We extend radical grace
We believe it’s never too late to become who God created you to be. The enemy wants us to think that sin disqualifies us from God’s plans and purposes, when in fact, it is what qualifies us for God’s grace.
God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.
- Ephesians 2:8
6. We operate with big faith
Because we never want to insult God with small thinking or safe living, we are comfortable with being uncomfortable. We seek to be faith-filled, big thinking, lay-it- all-out- there risk-takers.
You do not have because you do not ask God.
- James 4:2b
7. We worship as a lifestyle
Because we believe that worship is fully expressed in how we leverage our lives for Christ, we see every decision, every action, and all that we are as worship to Jesus.
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
- Psalm 19:14
8. We gear to young and lean into the wisdom of the old
We will partner together to lead the church into the next generation.
We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about his
power and his mighty wonders.
- Psalm 78:4
9. We are irrationally generous
We give generously and strategically to Kingdom causes, believing the financial seeds we sow today will reap a harvest for generations to come. Every prayer we pray, every gift we give, every sacrifice we make, every step of faith we take is an inheritance left for the next generation.
No good thing does God withhold from those who walk uprightly.
- Psalm 84:11b
10. Prayer is our foundation
The plans of God are only revealed in the presence of God. We don’t pray to get what we want but to discern what God wants.
If two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.
- Matthew 18:18-19
